Brazil has had a record-breaking wheat harvest for the second year in a row


Brazil has completed the 2022 wheat harvest campaign and for the second year in a row production has reached a record high. According to Confrom experts, the grain harvest at 9,5 million tons, up 24% from 2021, reports Soybean&Corn Advisor.

Specifically, it notes that grain production in the states of Parana and Rio Grande do Sul, which are the country's top wheat-producing regions (86% of the total), was 3,5 million tons and 4,7 million tons, respectively, with the annual crop increase on 9% and 36% is estimated.

It is also forecast that farmers in these states will continue to expand grain acreage in the coming season against the backdrop of high wheat production.
