Brazil ends soybean seeding


The AgRural experts estimate that the sowing of Soybeans in Brazil, 95% of the plan has already been implemented, which is generally in line with last season's level in this period (96%), reports the Nasdaq.

As mentioned, Brazilian farmers are hoping for rainfall that would bring a good yield, although crop losses have not yet been identified. There will be rainfall in most regions of the country in the coming days. The biggest concern in this Zusaomenhang the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where soybean sowing is not yet complete.

At the same time, a severe drought affects the corn production in Brazil. In particular, experts have noted that in parts of areas already losses of productive potential are being recovered from crops. According to AgRural, the planting campaign of the first corn harvest in the central and southern part of Brazil reached 96% of the planned area, which is the same as last year.

It is worth noting that the soybean harvest in Brazil in 2022/23 could reach 153,48 million tons (+22,2% per year) and the corn harvest 125,83 million tons (+11,2%), according to a forecast by Conab.
