Australia expects record-breaking wheat harvest


In 2023 the wheat production of the country 36,6 million Tonnen achieve what is 1% above the previous year's result and represents a new record, as the Federal Office of Agriculture and Resources in Australia (ABARES) forecasts.

As already mentioned, winter wheat yields and quality in some growing areas of the country were the best in the history of observations, despite frequent rains that led to flooding.

It will also be high barley production expected - 13,4 million tons, which will be the fourth largest crop in the history of observations.

The rapeseed harvest is expected to reach a record 7,3 million tons.

The total production of winter crops in Australia in 2023 could reach 62 million tons, which will be the second largest value.
