A bushel is a unit of volume that is mainly used in Germany and Austria to measure the volume of dry goods such as grain, fruit and vegetables. It is an old unit of measurement that dates back to the Middle Ages. One bushel corresponds to: 61,045 liters (in Germany), 58,996 liters (in Austria). In the past, the bushel was used to measure the volume of goods at markets and in trade. It was also used as a standard unit of measurement for agricultural products such as wheat, rye and oats. It is worth noting that the bushel is not part of the International System of Units (SI) and is not generally recognized or used outside of Germany and Austria.
