Wheat prices on the world market have fallen


As a result of October 14 trading on the SRT stock market, the wheat prices, after futures surged to a maximum of 3 months yesterday amid escalating tensions in the Russo-Ukrainian war. The market operators in particular feared irregularities in the work of the "Grain Initiative".

Pressure on prices was driven by a decline in speculative selling activity on the stock market in the run-up to the USDAexpert report from October. In addition, the wheat producing regions of the USA favorable weather conditions, which contributes to the sowing of winter crops. Also the information that the Russian Federation has increased the export quota for Grains could be canceled has put some pressure on prices.

According to the results of trading on the Euronext exchange, wheat futures also fell to €356 (-8,25)/ton.
