The Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine hopes that the volume of exports of value-added Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU will increase in the near future. This was stated on the air of the national telemarathon by the First Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky, the ministry's press service said on June 9.
He noted that this will contribute to the elimination of tariffs and quotas for the supply of such products to EU countries.
Previously, the quotas for a whole range of products were exhausted within a few months - the restrictions mainly affected products with added value. For example, the quota for honey always ended in January. There were quotas for dairy products, tomato paste, apple concentrate, poultry meat, Grains. Now there will be no restrictions on these products - we expect significant growth.

Speaking about the dynamics of Ukrainian agricultural exports as a whole, the first deputy minister reminded that in May Ukraine's volumes were almost 5 times larger Grains and oil exported than in March. So, according to official statistics, in March there were about 350 thousand Tonnen exported, in April three times as many as about 1 million tons and in May more than 1 million 700 thousand tons.
That's not yet the volume that went through the seaports, but it's a significant constant growth. Most are exported directly via Poland, then Romania, the rest via other European Union countries.
