According to a recent USDAreport, the US Department of Agriculture has estimated the crop of Sunflowers and the production of processed products from this reduced in 2022/23.
So, experts expect that the harvest of sunflowers in Ukraine compared to May estimates will increase by 1,5 million Tonnen to 9,5 million tons (4,085 million tons), the scrap will decrease by 100 thousand tons (3 924 million tons).
At the same time, the forecast for the supply of sunflower oil to foreign markets fell by 200 thousand tons to 3,6 million tons, scrap by 200 thousand tons (up to 2,7 million tons). The export of Sunflower seeds remained at 750 thousand tons.
At the same time, the export of soybean oil from Ukraine is expected to increase by 300 thousand tons (up to 1,3 million tons) due to the increase in crop estimates.
In addition, the USDA has revised its estimate of sunflower, oil and meal exports for the current season. In particular, export of seeds will increase by 650 thousand tons — up to 1 million tons, sunflower oil will decrease by 250 thousand tons — up to 4,1 million tons, scrap – by 150 thousand tons (up to 3,2 million tons).
