Kazakhstan and Germany have signed a joint declaration of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the further development and deepening of cooperation within the framework of the bilateral cooperation project “German-Kazakh Agricultural Policy Dialogue”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On November 17, the Kazakh delegation visited Berlin under the leadership of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar. During the visit, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Abulkhair Tamabek met with the State Secretary of the Federal Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. O. Nick.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister stressed that the priority areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany are seed production and plant protection, digital agriculture and agricultural innovation.
In addition, A. Tamabek held discussions with the director of the Alliance of German Agriculture, Dr. Peter Brodersen – the parties discussed the production of seeds and fertilizers. As a result of the meeting, a memorandum was signed with the Alliance.
It is stated that at the end of 9 months of 2023, the trade turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Germany was 94 million Dollar fraud. The volume of exports from Kazakhstan to Germany amounted to 23,5 million dollars, imports from Germany to Kazakhstan – 70,3 million dollars.
